Success Story 1: Gulshan Mishra
Gulshan Mishra
Batch: Electronics and Communication Engineering (2015-19)
Pursuing M.Tech in VLSI Design from IIT Roorkee
worked at: Senior Design Engineer, STMicroelectronics (Gr. Noida)
I joined the Electronics and Communication Department of Aravali College of Engineering and Management in the year 2015. Joining this college not only gave me a good exposure to academics through a series of practical sessions, field visits, industrial training, and various extracurricular activities that helped enhance my overall personal growth, but the strong academic curriculum and the help and motivation I received from the faculty helped me to move higher in my academic career.
I’ve never been a bright student, just an average student who was very interested in VLSI design technology, and most of my faculties knew about it. During my college days, I started building up my skill set, especially working on skills that employers will demand, and then I searched for an institute to do a 1-year course on backend design to have good knowledge. I did my course with full dedication to learn the necessary skills, and at the end of my course, I applied, went for the interview, and later got the opportunity at Qualcomm Noida for some projects that were going on. While working, I realized that my knowledge was insufficient for deconstructing the complex design, so I pursued a master’s degree in the same field and relocated to ST Microelectronics Noida to learn more about the various architectures and chip design cycles.
I’d like to take a moment to thank our professors, faculty, and support staff in the ECE department for their tireless efforts to ensure that every student succeeds in their careers. The wonderful 4 years at ACEM will forever remain very close to each and every alum’s heart.
“Last, always keep going. This means even if you fail, just get up again and start moving forward. But never give up; that is the most important lesson I’ve learned so far.
Regards,
Gulshan
